How to Perform a Smoke Cleanse with Rosemary

What You’ll Need:

• A bundle of dried rosemary
• Matches or a lighter
• A fireproof dish to catch ashes
• Optional: A feather or fan to help move the smoke

1. Set Your Intention

• Rosemary is often used for protection, clarity, and to boost memory and concentration. Take a moment to set an intention for the cleanse, such as "I cleanse this space and invite mental clarity and protection."

2. Light the Rosemary

• Hold the rosemary bundle at a slight angle and light one end. Let it burn for 20–30 seconds, then gently blow out the flame, leaving the rosemary to smolder and release smoke.

3. Cleanse Your Space

• Move around your space in a clockwise direction, allowing the smoke to drift into corners, around windows, and doorways. These areas tend to hold stagnant energy. You can also focus the smoke in spaces where you need clarity or feel a mental block.

• As you walk, repeat your intention, for example: "I invite mental clarity, focus, and protection into this space."

4. Cleanse Yourself (Optional)

• Waft the rosemary smoke around your body, starting at your feet and moving upward. This is a great way to clear mental fog or improve focus.

5. Extinguish the Rosemary

• Press the smoldering tip into a fireproof dish or sand to extinguish the rosemary. Make sure it’s fully out before setting it down.
